About Us

The Byron Women of Today was officially chartered in 1982 as the Byron Jaycee Women.  Three years later, in the summer of 1985, the state organization (Minnesota Women of Today) decided to join the newly forming United States Women of Today.  At that time the local chapter became the Byron Women of Today.  Every year we celebrate founder’s day on July 1st.  From the beginning, Women of Today has focused on service, growth, and fellowship.

Byron Women of Today has been fortunate through the years to be served faithfully by dedicated and enthusiastic women, who took time from their busy lives to direct the organization toward its goal.  Not only those that served on the executive board but all the women who took time to chair a project, share a creative idea or lend a hand, have added to the strength of our organization.

Many members of the Byron Women of Today have dedicated their time serving on the state level serving as District Directors, State Program Managers, and State Staff.  Others are members of the Foundation or State Committees such as Membership Management, Future Directions, and Finance Committee.  The opportunities for leadership training and personal growth are endless.
