2nd Annual 2011

Medallion Hunt!

Medallion 1 clues

Its hide and seek time, try to find me.

I’m hiding around what used to be a tree.

Its dark and dry, yet I feel moisture above,

That always comes with care, beauty and love.

Across the way what’s that I see?

It looks like a number looking back at me,

Although that place, its time has passed,

At one time its contents could move quite fast.

Over there I see a friendly place.

I’m told they hold treasures in that space.

So much goes on farther down the street,

But no longer is there a place to eat.

Back this way I hear children laughing,

Maybe even water splashing.

Yet the place I am holds laughter and tears,

People like to remember the yesteryears.

Did you go inside?  Well, come back out

Cause I’m out here just lying about.

Where I am at one time you could see through

Now the flowers will smile back at you.

Medallion 2 clues

Well hello there!  I am now found.

You’re not done yet! You must cover more ground.

Yes another coin is hidden with treasure for you.

Look for yourself, you will find that its true.

This time its hiding to show you the way

where families can go to relax and play.

As my twin did, its wood that I see,

No flowers here, but there could be.

If you went to play, you’ve gone too far.

Go on back to where you could drive a car.

As much as I love this hide and seek game,

Its time for all of Byron to know the winners name.

I look up the street, I can see what my twin saw.Yet that train comes and covers it all.
Stay south on your hunt and focus focus on my first #2 coin clue.
There seems to be a "past" theme in this year's ado.

If I’m still here, you must have missed the sign.

Look a little closer at this hiding place of mine.

Check out the crevices and cracks.

And I will be yours yes that is a fact!

Thank you for playing this hide and seek game.

Until next year we’ll bid you the same!
